To experience silence and tranquility, use one of the many paths in the area up in the mountains, or rent a boat to take a trip on the water. Loen Skylift is one of the steepest cable cars in the world, and lifts people from the fjord in Loen to the mountain Hoven (1011 m) in five minutes. At the top is the Hoven Restaurant, where you get a 210 degree panoramic view towards Skåla and Lovatnet in the east, Jostedalsbreen and Olden in the south, and out the Nordfjord which meanders further towards Stryn in the west. From Hoven can you experience the high mountains on your own in an extensive trail network. It is only approx. 20 km from the holiday home to the car park at the Briksdalsbreen glacier. Take the trip to Vestkapp - Norway's westernmost point. Trout (record 14 kg) and char can be fished in Oldenvatnet. Salmon and trout in the Olden River.
