The Farver Mill has stood proudly in the fields of Wangels for nearly 200 years. "Everyone notices it, but few realize they can stay here," says owner Karin Kügler. Many guests seek unique vacation experiences and are enchanted by this special location. Visitors enter using a hand-forged key and are captivated by the preserved historic mill technology, which creates a sense of warmth and security, especially during autumn storms. Karin converted the mill into a cozy retreat in the 1970s, preserving its historic features. Today, it’s a listed relic of East Holstein culture, popular among locals and photographers alike. The mill has even appeared in a German TV series, Tatort, making it a beloved landmark. For Karin and her partner Gerd Hammerich, the mill feels like family, offering a place for togetherness during the week and on special occasions.
