A living room, a bedroom with 2 beds, a mezzanine with a double bed, terrace to the East, garden. Ideal for 4 people. The La Cigogne gîte is located in the Baie des Veys, in the heart of the Regional Natural Park of the Cotentin and Bessin Marshes. Near the landing beaches. Around the 18th century residence, the marsh stretches as far as the eye can see, punctuated by 5 bell towers and, 40 meters away, a stork's nest on a perched tree. On both sides of the Cotentin, the sea is 26 km to the west, 20 km to the east, depending on the time of day or the tides (3 hours difference between West and East) . Village of Appeville, its 13th century Romanesque church, 1 km. Baupte 3 km away, shops.

Heerlijk huisje in een zeer rustige en mooie omgeving. Een prima uitvalsbasis voor bezoek aan D-Day locaties zoals Omaha Beach, Utah Beach, Sainte-Mère-Église, batterijen van Crisbecq & Azeville en Pointe du Hoc. Maar ook leuke trips naar de noordwest en noordoost kust. Het huisje was voor ons prima uitgerust, met een fijn bed en 2 terrasjes. De eigenaars zijn erg vriendelijk, weten veel over de omgeving & historie, en we hebben veel goede tips van ze gehad voor uitstapjes. Als er iets is, wordt het meteen geregeld. Een aanrader voor een vakantie in Normandië, zeker als je voor de D-day/WWII historie komt.
