Weser Uplands

Located around the Weser river, the Weserbergland is hilly and stretches over the states Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia and Hessen. The area is located between the cities Hannoversch Münden and Porta Westfalica, and this is the North-German plain. You will find two nature parks here; the Weserbergland of the same name around the city Hamelen and on the south Solling-Vogler.

Cottage in a fairytale region

The rolling landscape is typical. The well-known story of the rat catcher of Hamelen was drawn and written by the brothers Grimm in the famous city. The months before Christmas are particularly magical, with their traditional Christmas markets and the warm atmosphere to enjoy in one of the many cosy festive villages. And then you go home to one of our pleasant cottages.

Relive the Renaissance around your holiday home.

The largest number of Renaissance buildings in the North of the Alps can be found in the Weserbergland. The most beautiful castles and citadels give the region its special appeal, as they are dotted all over the impressive landscape. You will discover the unique architecture directly from one of our holiday homes in Weserbergland.

Explore the landscapes of Weserbergland on your bike? That's possible!

The Weserbergland is best experienced on your bicycle. The most popular cycling route, the Weserradweg, takes you from the romantic Weserbergland to the North Sea. But there are fun cycling routes on the left and right of the Weser too. The Solling is one of the largest woody areas in Northern Germany. You will have fun on the mountain bike too with the 600 km cycling routes network. The routes through the splendid panorama of the Weserbergland are in good condition and you will find numerous attractions and diversity along the Deister.
