The perfume capital of France

Everyone knows Nice, Cannes and Saint-Tropez of course, but Grasse is also a very nice city to visit. Grasse is also called the perfume city of France, and when you walk through the small, cosy streets, it is immediately clear why: every half hour a delicious perfume smell spreads through the city!

A piece of Russia in France

A Russian church on the Côte d'Azur in France. Yes, it's true! When you go to Nice, this is probably not the first thing that comes to mind, but it only makes it more fun. The building is huge and the Russian influences are unmistakable. Not only is the outside beautiful, the inside also looks impressive!

In the sunny south, enjoy the wide sandy beaches on the Mediterranean Sea and the hilly hinterland with its sunflower fields and vineyards. Historic villages are interspersed with modern seaside resorts. Enjoying the Côte Vermeille from your holiday home in southern France

The south of France has 2 popular coastal regions on the Mediterranean Sea for a wonderful holiday by the sea. In the southern tip, in the Languedoc Roussillon region, lies the Côte Vermeille, also known as the Catalan Vermilion Coast. The steep red-brown rocks and intimate bays are characteristic of this coastline. Well-known seaside resorts such as Argelès-sur-Mer, Canet Plage and Port Barcarès have wide, gently sloping sandy beaches. Ideal for a family holiday of course, but also a good place for water sports. The hinterland of this coast has many beautiful natural phenomena. Visit for example the regional park Grand Causses, a whimsical nature reserve with undulating limestone plateaus that are intersected by deep valleys with very steep high walls, called gorges. In national park De Cevennen, you will also find deep, impressive gorges and high peaks. An ideal area for a cycling or walking tour.

You don't have to go far for a cultural excursion from your holiday home in the south of France either, as this region has plenty of historical monuments. For example, visit the medieval city of Carcasonne with its historic citadel. Sense the typical Spanish-Catalan atmosphere in the cultural city of Perpignan. In Narbonne, you can visit the Gothic cathedral, or one of the many museums. Or take a day trip to Collioure, a colourful fishing town that has been popular among young artists for years. There is plenty to do from your own holiday home in the South of France!

This region, also known as the French Riviera, is not only popular among tourists, but the rich and famous also like to spend their summer here. For a day out, there are plenty of possibilities. In Cannes you stroll along the boulevard and watch the luxury yachts in the harbor. Visit the port city of Marseille, stroll through the streets of Aix-en-Provence or go shopping in Nice. A pleasant change for the children is the Aqualand water park near Fréjus. And all this within easy reach of your holiday home in the south of France.

The landscape of the Camargue, located on the coast between Montpellier and Marseille, is very special. The combination of fresh and salt water ensures a very special flora and fauna can be found here. Pink flamingos, white horses and bulls live in the swamp. Discover the Camargue on horseback, by bike, or go on a jeep safari. Further inland is the regional nature park Verdon, with the very impressive Gorges Du Verdon. Great villa and plenty of options and configurations to accommodate our 10 guests. The location was perfect with lots locally for shopping, drinks and restaurants. What a stunning beach area which we made the most of and only a very short walk away. As we are very active the walking was superb and our 10 mile hike around the cap de Antibes was a real highlight. Antibes itself was a perfect mix of history and modern and again was a great hit with the guests. Proximity to the Juan-Les Pins station meant a 10 minutes walk and access along the coast with our intrepid adventurers getting as far east as Fréjus and west into Italy to Ventimiglia, fantastic. Our group found something to do everyday including some time to use the pool and sun loungers. A few positive and negative points we did encounter and we list these a feedback for review / fixing. - Kazem was great, he fixed a shower flooding problem within hours to our satisfaction. - Instructions for alarms, wifi, bins etc. were hand written and perhaps typed clearer notes would help - Pool wooden decking area was a disaster. It was 'collapsing' and meant we had to tread very carefully to use the sun beds otherwise we would have had some injuries. As we were all adults we took extra care but it would be a no go area for children! - Master bedroom was 'tired', wardrobe door was stuck, draw fronts falling off, and too be honest the open plan bathroom does not work for us and would have preferred it more private. - Bedroom next to master, the en-suite needed a deep clean and shower resealed. - Outside covered 'Garage' area was scuffy and not that clean. BBQ was dirty and we found the oven trays under the BBQ and they had not been cleaned from previous occupants. (We used this area quite extensively to be in the open cooking). Kazem was most accommodating as we did arrive a couple of hours early and that may have disturbed his plans! One thing that would be extremely useful is a detailed floor plan of the bedrooms and configurations of beds. As we had a mix of three couples and 4-5 singles trying to work out sleeping plans was a nightmare and personally I and another guest ended up with single beds in one apartment and had we known would have asked these to be doubles and of course we could not close the partitions as the air-con was in the other rooms! Overall a fantastic time had by all and this is a villa and/or area we will certainly re-visit. Thanks Marianne and Belvilla

This is a fantastic villa! Our family of 10 people (4 generations) had a lovely vacation in this beautiful villa. The setting is very peaceful and relaxing and the view is breathtaking. The spacious bed rooms with private bathrooms, the nicely combined kitchen/living room and many terraces allowed for both privacy and a great social family life. We had many nice dinners at the terrace and our granddaughters loved the pool!

This house was really a top place! A really wonderful holiday and super suitable for us as 3 families with small children. We were very happy with the pool. We selected the house to be comfortable with naps etc and being around the house. The layout was nice, everything worked well and the contact was super comfortable. Highly recommended!

Our second time here with grown up children and grandchildren in August 2022. Very nice villa in pleasant surroundings. Building work on the adjacent site is now largely complete so less noise than two years ago but the entrance driveway is still unmade. There is a new dishwasher and American fridge-freezer which is good. However, unlike last time, we were only provided with one set of remote control keys for the two sets of access gates which made life difficult as we are two families with three cars all wishing to go out in different directions. This meant that someone had to be in the house at all times to provide access which was not very convenient. We asked for more remote controls but we're told none were available. The mixer tap in the kitchen is still loose and requires someone with a spanner to tighten it up and the pool has not been comprehensively cleaned during our stay (last time someone cleaned it halfway through the holiday). The house is very well equipped and reasonably well maintained for a rental but sun beds and umbrellas are all in need of upgrading (all umbrellas were partially broken). Wonderful views down the rolling mountains to the bay of Cannes and a very nice terrace with barbecue for warm evenings. Overall we had another enjoyable stay and these comments are not complaints, just constructive observations.
