Kreischberg

Kreischberg is the ideal winter sports destination for snowboarders

You will find the villages of Murau and St Lorenzen in this area. Kreischberg is a top winter sports destination for active snowboarding fans. It is the location for the FIS Snowboarding World Cup each January, which is very popular. During this world cup weekend a total of four competitions are held: the Parallel Giant Slalom, the Half Pip, a Big Air, and the Snowboard Cross. The Snowboard Cross on the Kreischberg is a classic of this world cup. Obviously, you can test your own snowboarding skills in the specially designed Boarderland.

Book a chalet or a cottage with your family

This winter sports region is very attractive for beginner skiers. It offers many facilities to help you get started with skiing. The pistes are very wide and offer lots of variation, with something for everyone. The 1.2km long luge run is a particularly good attraction for kids.

Nice houses in a cozy environment, very clean but here and there a bit worn: table on the terrace as crooked as a banana, here and there things come loose or are they outdated. Otherwise fine and cozy. No seat available, so you have to take a breather in a hammock that you have provided yourself or in your bed? Very noisy houses, the neighbors talk, go down the stairs or cough, you all hear. Wifi was very unstable but the handyman who walks around here every now and then was willing to reboot it every now and then. Then it worked again for a while. Good food in the restaurant with terrace, nice swimming in the indoor pool. Also here everything VERY clean. Beautiful view of the mountains, between the houses you look at the hills. Lift to the top very close, 10 min walk. Only open a few days a week, and upstairs not very special. In the larger area there is a lot to do, especially with children.

Beautiful house No. 66 with excellent facilities such as outdoor jacuzzi, which was even nice in winter. Enough space for 8 people. Please note that the address on the booking was not the chalet number with us! Because of this we had another chalet but that was totally okay because that was a 10 p instead of 9 p
