Een prachtig huis uit het jaar 1740 gelegen aan de doorgaande weg van Tellin naar Nassogne maar kent geen overlast van het verkeer. De kamers zijn zeer groot en nog authentiek met grote eiken balken en gepleisterde muren met oude eiken houten vloerdelen. Goed werkende verwarming en douches. Ook is er een grote tuin aan het huis waarvan vrij gebruik gemaakt kan worden voor voetbal, volleybal, badminton, klimtoren, schommels, bbq etc. Daarnaast is in de kelder een goed verwarmd zwembad aanwezig met discolichten. Een uitgebreide keuken met goed werkend fornuis met oven. Wij hebben een bijzonder mooi lang weekend met het hele gezin met kinderen en kleinkinderen doorgebracht. Naar Euro Space Center, Bastogne, Dinant en de grotten en het wildpark in Han zijn leuke dag uitstapjes te maken. Voor de fietsers (wielrenners) en wandelaars is het ideale uitvalplaats voor mooie tochten door de Ardennen. Het hele gezin heeft genoten en heeft zijn ding kunnen doen. Het weer is ons ook gunstig geweest maar het zwembad en speelmogelijkheden geven voldoende alternatief voor een mindere weersgesteldheid. In Forrières is geen bakker of supermarkt meer aanwezig en kent slechts één café. Voor (uitgebreide) boodschappen is een autorit van ca. 6 km nodig. De hygiëne was in het hele huis goed op orde: de keuken, zwembad, kamers en sanitair was zeer goed schoon gemaakt, onze complimenten. Zeker een aanrader mede door de grote leefruimte die je hier hebt voor een grote groep.

the house was very tidy, nothing to complain about, the person responsible for the house was very friendly. there were some negatives 1. that when entering the house it smelled strongly of the sewer (or the sewer sign as we say), after thorough ventilation it was better, but yes, around this time of year you cannot open the windows all day long. The cleaning lady did say that the owner was going to come and look at the cause during the next week, so that is positive 2. In the kitchen, the frying pans and some (Tefal) cooking pots definitely need to be replaced. Furthermore, it was a cozy house, immaculate, well maintained, beautiful garden where at the front above the wall a piece of fence is missing to allow a dog to roam freely. Definitely recommended if the above is resolved. Of course, the pans also depend on how the tenants deal with the conveniences. The heating is also fine. Billiards is a big plus. All in all, a top location and a top house, especially considering its age. The furnishings also match the house. All together very positive.

We were here last weekend. We have a family weekend once a year and this house seemed perfect for this. Upon entering we stepped into a kind of experience. Back in time, but with a modern touch. Old paintings that made your imagination run wild. Everything was clean, but outdated. Outside there is a lovely large garden, where the children could play freely. The swimming pool, how AMAZING! the children, but also the adults, really enjoyed it here. The sauna, great. Our meals in the kitchen, what a great place. Everything was sufficiently available. Highly recommended for people who want something different! Negative: Floor down to the pool. I have had a good fall twice myself. The floor is slippery when it is a little wet. I would lay a rough tile there, just like at the pool itself, to prevent someone from slipping.

Zeer fijn verblijf gehad in Forrières. Gigantisch huis waar je eerst even in verloren loopt met een prachtige tuin. Voldoende comfortabele zetels en bedden. Extra pluspunten waren voor ons het zwembad, biljarttafel en de ruimte van de woning. Minpunten vonden we de thermostaat die geblokkeerd stond op 20 graden. Dit was best fris voor zo’n groot huis en met kleine kindjes. Badkamers en wc’s kunnen hier en daar wel wat opfrissing gebruiken. Opgemaakte bedden en handdoeken hadden een leuke meerwaarde kunnen zijn en geen overbodige luxe gezien de huurprijs die gevraagd wordt.
