Now, in March, it is of course quieter in the Gulpenberg resort than it will be in the summer. As it is a large resort the size of quite a village I think the summer crowds will be an annual challenge for the staff. But the contacts I have had with the staff give me confidence that they will manage "the village" excellently, even during the summer crowds, because the staff members I have spoken to, without exception, know their trade and that is an important condition for a nice holiday in a fairly densely populated village. At first I didn't think much of the house (no. 29) where I would stay for 7 nights, but that gradually changed. The days I camped here were usually quite cold, but I could choose from no fewer than three heating systems: electric radiators, underfloor heating and a hot air blower (which can be used as air conditioning in the summer). The house is surprisingly much more spacious than you would think at first glance and it is also very cleverly laid out and furnished with handy cupboard space in the kitchen and bedrooms. If you want fresh If you want some air or want to sit in the sun, there is a spacious covered terrace. Almost all of the windows can be opened. I also found the peace and quiet that I love at campsites here! And then this: The house is made of wood and that is a great way to capture a lot of CO2 for a very long time! I even liked it here when it was raining heavily. Because you can sleep well with that monotonous rain pounding on the roof!
