Jizerske Hory, better known as the Iron Mountains, is the smallest mountains rage of the Czech Republic. The 3 largest skiing resorts are Špi?ák, Bed?ichov, and Severák. The latter two winter sports areas are small-scale – they have easier slopes (no black ones), and the children’s ski lifts are particularly popular with families. Špi?ák is the largest winter sports resort in the Iron Mountains, offering opportunities for all degrees of difficulty. From your cottage on the slopes you will have the most fabulous views on the picturesque landscape.

The better-known areas offer modern lifts and many additional facilities. Many extras are within reasy reach from your chalet, such as snow canons, ski school, children’s ski school, ski hire, ski bus, cash machines, banks, restaurants, sports centres (fitness, tennis or squash), sauna or indoor swimming pool, cross-country loipes, night skiing, and snow tubing. For bobsleigh runs and luge runs, you can go to Plavy, Tanvals, and Smrzovka.

Cities such as Liberc and Jablonec nad Nisou offer cultural and leisure activities. Here, you will find museums, nightlife, swimming pools, fitness centres, and ice rinks.
