The house and the place are in one word: FANTASTIC! We had a great week here. Really recommended. We were here with 3 families (6 adults. 4 children) and we had a great time. We had not called in advance, which is recommended, then the caretaker Nathalie comes to the house to give the key. We were lucky that she was there at 4 pm. Luckily she speaks a little English and we got an explanation about the house, what we should pay attention to and how to use the pool. There is not much to do in the immediate vicinity, but that is not necessary for us. We had 30 degrees C this week so the pool was our 1st entertainment. In addition, the corona measures have been tightened up in France since July 21, so from that moment on you must be able to show a recent test or vaccination certificate. Unfortunately, we were therefore no longer able to go to a castle or amusement park from Wednesday. We did visit the castle of Amboise, which is highly recommended! Magnificent! The market in the medieval town of Loches was also worth a visit. This is on Sunday morning and Wednesday morning. About half an hour's drive from the house. The house is fully equipped, the beds sleep wonderfully, there is a mobile air conditioning in the attic. In the kitchen there is a filter coffee machine and a Senseo. There is also a washing machine which is free to use. There is also a smaller house next to the house where children's toys are available for the really small children. A good supermarket (Intermarche) is in Descartes, about 10 minutes drive. Our route planner (google) first indicated the wrong location, perhaps more convenient to enter the gas station Carburant Intermarche. There is a gas station in the parking lot.

We were already allowed to check in in the morning, this was a friendly gesture from the owner. The house is in a very quiet, beautiful area where you can walk among the fields and old houses. The village is just a few kilometers away and has a supermarket, a bakery and a few cafés. There was everything we needed. The house itself had a very large swimming pool that was nicely fenced with a fence, ideal to make it safe for the children. Water temperature was delicious. There were also good and plenty of loungers at the pool. The kitchen was small, but all appliances worked well and were present. Inside there is 1 large living space with seats and a TV. This has a large window, which makes it pleasantly light at all times. There are also two other living spaces, where there is little light. We have never been here, but these are actually superfluous spaces. Shower and WC "s were ok. The upstairs rooms were spacious and everything we needed was provided. Outside is a large space, ideal for the kids and cozy to sit outside in the shade of a tree in the middle of the center square. There were also plenty of umbrellas to provide shade and in the area we did a day trip to Poitiers and a nice lake.
