Holiday home with Garden in Benzweiler

We stayed in appt for 1 week. Kaifenheimer Mühle 3 in the warm month of June and were very warmly welcomed by owner Gertrud and her husband Bernd. The app. is spacious and comfortable for 2 people. We cooked every day ourselves in the practically equipped kitchen. The mattresses in the bedroom have recently been renewed. We slept well. There are shutters on all windows of the house. We kept it closed during the day to keep the rooms cool. That made a nice difference during the heat wave in June. We really enjoyed the tranquility of the domain. You can hear birdsong from morning until sunset. Wonderful. We have spotted deer and hares from our terrace. Kaifenheimer Mühle is located in an idyllic stream valley. It is the starting point for various hiking trails. Experienced hikers can even walk to Burg from here By car you are directly at Burg Eltz (a must!).The imposing abbey of Maria Laach is also definitely worth a visit.You can enjoy a nice walk around the volcanic lake.

After leaving the highway you pass through the village of Kaifenheim and via a narrow country road you descend to the green valley of the Brohlbach where you will be surprised by the beautiful old buildings of the old water mill Kaifenheimermühle. A green oasis of peace in an otherwise somewhat barren agricultural landscape with many windmills. The buildings next to the stream exude an atmosphere of antiquity and tranquility. The welcome by Gertrud and Bernd was very warm and hospitable. There is plenty of parking space and we could store the bikes in a garage. Our apartment was very spacious and equipped with everything you need. Cooking goes well in the spacious kitchen and we slept wonderfully in the large bed. Outside you can sit on the terrace or in the meadow. It is a very beautiful place, a wonderful apartment

We verbleven hier al voor de tweede keer. Heel aangenaam verblijf in een rustige omgeving midden in de natuur. Hartelijke ontvangst door de sympathieke eigenaars Gertrud en Bernd. Mooi wandelgebied. Goed gelegen om de Moezelvallei te verkennen. De autosnelweg A48 ligt dichtbij. Toch geeft dat zelden geluidshinder. Het is een beetje afhankelijk van de windrichting. Het voordeel is dat je via die snelweg op een halfuur in Koblenz bent.
