We had a very pleasant experience with our stay at "Am Winkelbach 3" in Oberstadtfeld. We were warmly welcomed by the owner. He told us that we could use the garden with a hammock. We didn't do this, but it looked very nice. The next day his wife brought us tomatoes from his own garden and a few days later she came with a stack of clean towels. Other than that, they left us completely alone. The house is very spacious and fully equipped. A spacious kitchen and the same bathroom. Also a great living room, but we always sat in the kitchen. There is a lot of information in the cottage about what to do in the area. A wonderful bed, we slept like roses. We had a beautiful walk every day with a lot of climbing. We came face to face with deer, saw black woodpeckers, we thought the forests were magical. We also visited Koblenz and Trier. We found Koblenz in particular to be a very appealing city, a city with a lot to see. All in all, we are very positive about the house, the surroundings and also about the owners.

The welcome by Gaby Fries was warm. We were given a tour of the house with explanation where necessary. The house itself is spacious and fully equipped. Much of what I brought with me was present. The beds are comfortable and were made. The house was clean and tidy. A nice garden with a pavilion and plenty of birds that enjoyed the hung bird food. "In the evening, lights are burning everywhere in the garden outside. There was even a blue tit pair breeding in the bird house. It is quiet and you have a distant view. We saw even regularly the Red Kite that has its hunting ground here. We could store our e-bikes dry in the garden shed. There was also a socket to charge them. All in all a nice holiday home for a nice price.

Erg fijne en rustige plek om je vakantie door te brengen. Winkels op 10 min met de auto. Wandelingen in de omgeving of vanuit huis zijn ook mogelijk. De accommodatie was erg goed. Een heerlijke douche in de ruime badkamer. Het is wel redelijk donker doordat er slechts één raam in de woonkamer zit. Gelukkig is er voldoende verlichting aanwezig. Het telefoonbereik was bij ons niet sterk, dus de wifi essentieel. Helaas niet supersnel, maar wel toereikend voor Netflix of Youtube. Verwarming werkt ook verder goed voor in de wintermaanden. Wel zelf je bedlinnen meenemen 180x200.

Het huis was prima. De verwarming (vloerverwarming) was goed. Alles was inclusief, dus beddengoed, keukengoed, maar ook WC-papier, thee, suiker, etc. stond er. Je kon keurig je afval scheiden, dus heel duurzaam. De prijs was ook zeer aantrekkelijk. Het enige nadeel is dat er geen centrale afzuiging is, maar dat is er volgens mij weinig in Duitsland. Dus je moest wel goed luchten om het CO2 gehalte beneden de 700 ppm te houden. Ik neem altijd een CO2 meter mee en dat is belangrijk voor je gezondheid. De meeste mensen realiseren zich dat niet.
