Holiday home in the countryside in Lichtenborn

We were there with 13 people for a private IT congress. Everyone had their own IT equipment with them, such as computers, projectors, presenters, etc. The holiday home can accommodate (more than) 30 people, so we could each have our own single bedroom. Unfortunately, the large hall, which was actually the decisive criterion in our decision for this holiday home, was not available at the time of our stay. This was annoying as we were not told this beforehand but we still had the space we needed and were generally very happy. The whole building is a mixture of a quaint pub and lots of modernized elements here and there (walls, furniture, kitchen, TV etc.). The combination is well done, so that our stay was both cozy and functionally comfortable. Communication was a bit difficult at first because we were only given the contact details of the landlord a few weeks before arrival, which we understand, but any questions in advance then had to go through Belvilla, which was anything but easy. Both the landlord and the on-site caretaker are nice and benevolent people; We had a really good chat with the caretaker in particular, who also told us a lot about the development of the building and the surrounding area. The surrounding area is scenic to look at, but that didn't really matter in our case (we mainly stayed in the building or in the courtyard). Avoid making too much noise outside after 10pm, but inside the building you can be as noisy as you want (thick stone walls, new triple-glazed windows). The Internet connection is great (100M down, 5.3M up) and there are WLAN access points distributed throughout the entire building. The chip shop next door is huge, especially the schnitzel. We'd love to come back again if we get a chance

The location is really beautiful. The house consists of three apartments, ours was located on the first floor and it can accommodate four people. We were there with two adults and a dog. The stairs were a bit slippery and steep for our dog (13), so if possible, for a minimal additional charge, the apartment on the ground floor is the better option in that circumstance. The kitchen is complete, as is the shower and everything was very well maintained and clean. Real class. Reifferscheid is a perfect base (by car, that is) for day trips in the Eifel (0.5 to 1 hour drive) but also for walks. The caretaker was friendly, helpful and very reasonable. The only point of attention was that the costs for the dog were extra (I didn't understand that, I thought it was included). Nevertheless, I would highly recommend it to everyone.

Die Unterkunft war der Hammer. Alles gepflegt und sauber, und das obwohl die Göste vor uns erst unmittelbar vor unserer Ankunft abreisten. Das führt aber gmeich zum Hauptproblem. Bei der Buchung über belvilla wurde durch einen Mitarbeiter im Livechat auf die Frage , ob eine verfrühte Anreise möglich wäre suggeriert als würde man dies beim Eigentümer nachfragen. Nach ein paar Minuten wurde mitgeteilt dass dies absolut kein Problem sei. Als der nette und zuvorkommende Besitzer sich 3 Tage vor unserer Anreise meldetet um Details zu besprechen, wusste dieser von nichts und musste leider mitteilen dass das Haus noch vermietet sei am Morgen unserer Anreise.
