You can also go on a ride in a covered wagon. Back on the mainland, the woods of Saint-Jean-de-Monts await you. Hiking is wonderful in the shade of the tall pine trees.

Many cycle paths in the Vendée run alongside wide beaches, deep forests and marshland. A voyage of discovery awaits you! There is often salt extracted in this region. Here and there piles of it are drying in the sun; enough for a countless number of eggs! There is a water theme park with giant slides at Merlin Plage in Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez (15km). Other famous resorts are Saint-Gilles Croix-de-Vie (18km) and Les Sables d'Olonne (47km).
