The child-friendly park is located on green grounds about ten minutes' walk from the pleasant old village of Rignac (approx. 600 metres). A small recreational lake nearby has fishing.
The residence features a reception (with bread service), a heated outdoor swimming pool with children's section (open from mid-May to the end of September, depending on the weather), a sun terrace with sun recliners, a playground, a tennis court, a multi-sports field, washing and drying machines and central parking (300 metres from the property).
Résidence Le Hameau du Lac, situated in the department of Aveyron, is an excellent jumping-off point for exploring the historic region (formerly Midi-Pyrenees). Sandwiched between the Languedoc and the Lot, this unique green region is a study in contrasts. The landscape offers great diversity. From the limestone plateau of Larzac (approx. 146 kilometres) to the intensely green fields of Aubrac (approx. 81 kilometres) and the surprising red landscape of the Rougier de Camarès. Caves, valleys, babbling brooks (in the Tarn) and plateaus are characteristic of the region's natural splendour.
The department of Aveyron has the beautiful town of Rodez (approx. 25 kilometres from the residence), which is also its capital and renowned for its 'citymark': the Gothic cathedral constructed from pink sandstone. Aveyron itself is home to no less than ten villages that are classified as 'Les plus Beaux Villages de France'. Such as the village of Najac, with its royal fortress high atop a rocky ridge, (approx. 54 kilometres) which features one of the best vantage points over the valley of Aveyron. Beyond this medieval village, Belcastel (approx. 6 kilometres) with its picturesque heritage and charm is also worth a visit!
