You can try panning for gold in Ädelfors, only 17 kilometres (about a fifteen minute drive) away. The mine Kleva gruva is 20 km away. If you are visiting with children, they will really enjoy Astrid Lindgren's World (40 kilometres). Katthult (30 kilometres) and Bullerbyn, well known from Astrid Lindgren's beloved children's books, are also close. Or why not take a daytrip to Mariannelund and find out how sweets were made in the olden days? The Kingdom of Crystal is another interesting destination.
