Popular archipelago communities such as Valdemarsvik, Loftahammar and Västervik are located close together like a string of pearls. Don't miss the summer town of Västervik with its picturesque town centre, its restaurants, and many summertime events. Popular Loftahammar with boaters, restaurants, cafes and cooling baths by beaches and cliffs. Tour boats depart for the archipelago from both Loftahammar and Västervik. In Gamleby there are many flea markets, the bathing area Hammarsbadet and Garpedansberget with its well-visited troll park. The beautiful village of Vråka is also well worth a visit, here there is glassblowing, a flea market and an ice cream café. For the youngest, a visit to Astrid Lindgren's World in Vimmerby is usually popular. Or why not visit the zoo Kolmårdens Djurpark with an ice cream stop in wonderful town Söderköping on the way.
